Making the meter (Part1)

First a confession. After a fair bit of preliminary design work, during which my thoughts went from a LED light bar to a 'custom made' digital voltmeter, I came across the products of a firm called Lascar Electronics. This company makes a range of meters. One of these, the EMV1200 is a small module which fulfills just about all of the requirements of a vehicle Voltmeter. Using this module, I didn't actually need to construct the meter, just fit it into the Motometer housing.

        Features of The Lascar EMV1200:-

        1) Measuring range 5 -24 volts.

        2) Simple 2 wire connection, no separate power supply required.

        3) Reads to 0.1 volts, accurate to 0.1 volts.

        4) 0.5 Inch high figures

        5) Fits into standard Voltmeter housing.
